Army finds illegal aircraft at Yupukari
The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) says it has found an illegal aircraft in the Region Nine area.
According to the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), yesterday, it received information of an illegal aircraft at the Yupukari Airstrip, Region Nine, Upper Demerara/Upper Takutu area.
Yesterday, a joint GDF and a police patrol were conducted to the area and a twin engine Cessna Aircraft was discovered at approximately 09:50hrs.
Investigators from the army, police and Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU), are in the area conducting investigations.
Additional information will be provided as they become available, the army promised.
