Rain continues to be the biggest challenge for associations running off matches in the inaugural GFF/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power National Under-17 Intra Association League.
Nine associations contesting running leagues namely, Rupununi, Berbice, East Demerara, East Bank, Georgetown, West Demerara, Bartica, Essequibo and Upper Demerara.
Most of the associations have staretd but have been stalled due to persistent rainfall over the past few weeks. However, the East Demerara Football Association will be resuming this weekend at the Golden Grove ground.
From 13:00hrs tomorrow, Buxton Stars will come up against Ann’s Grove with home team Golden Stars matching skills with Buxton Youth Developers from 15:00hrs. On Sunday, Buxton United do battle with Bachelor’s Adventure/Paradise Sports Club in the opening clash at 13:00hrs, the main attraction features BV/Triumph United and Victoria Kings.
West Demerara FA
Meanwhile, two matches will be played in the West Demerara at the Den Amstel Community Centre ground. Tomorrow, Slingerz will oppose Beavers from 12:00hrs while on Sunday from the same time, Eagles will match skills with Wales.
