Regal All Star and Parika Defenders registered victories in their respective softball matches played on Sunday at Malteenoes Sports Club.
Regal All Star defeated Park All Star by six wickets; batting first Park All Star managed 100-2 off their allocation of 12 overs. B. Narine made 29, Robin Persaud 27 and Ejaz Mohamed 12. Ricky Persaud and Troy Kippins claimed two wickets each. Regal All Star responded with 102-4 in eight overs with Richard Latif scoring 44 and Arjune Doodnauth 29.
Parika Defenders overcame Regal All Star by 49 runs in their encounter. Parika Defenders scored 155-8 off their allotted 17 overs, taking first strike. B. Kissoon led with 54, while Amit Persaud got 26 and Ucil Armstrong 12; Tyrone Sanasie snared 3-23. Regal All Star were bowled out for 106 in 14.2 overs in reply. Rudolph Baker made 35, Mohamed Rafeek 22 and Ricky Persaud 14. Beesham Singh captured 3-15, Asif Ahmad 2-22 and Tamesh Persaud 2-23.
