No bail for security guard accused of drug trafficking
Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan refused bail for a Campbellville security guard, after he was allegedly found with 612 grams of marijuana in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Appearing in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts yesterday was Abdul Bennett, 38, of Lot 30 Stone Avenue, Campbellville, Georgetown. He is accused of having the illicit substance in his possession on December 14, at Campbellville.
Bennett, who had no legal representation, was remanded to prison until January 12.
Police Prosecutor, Corporal Deniro Jones did not reveal any facts about what transpired on the day in question to the court.
