With the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) in sight, Team Xtreme, one of the outfits that will be fielding competitors on race day, received another boost from corporate Guyana when Royal Castle handed over a cheque for an undisclosed sum to Manager David Bacchus, at the Sheriff Street location on Thursday.
The fast food chain which has been in Guyana for the past twenty-four years came on board as one of their major sponsors, ahead of next Sunday’s regional Race Meet set for the South Dakota Circuit.
General Manager Tribhowan Brasse speaking at the occasion said that their support came as a result of the good working relationship they have with racer Gavin Gayadin, who according to him, does a lot of work for the entity.
Brasse added that the entity also views the upcoming Meet as a great opportunity to promote their business and sports in Guyana.
“It’s not the first time Royal Castle will be supporting motor racing in Guyana, but we’ve not done a lot in recent times so with our support for Gavin we hope that fans will be able to see us as a good corporate citizen and offer even more support for our products,” Brasse stated.
Gayadin, who will be behind the wheels of his ever dependable BMW E36i in his response thanked the entity for its support, adding that he will be putting out his best effort on the track to make them proud.
Gayadin, one of Guyana and the Caribbean’s best drivers, is making a comeback after a short break from the track and Team Xtreme’s Manager David Bacchus expressed his delight at having Royal Castle on board.
With six outlets in Guyana, Royal Castle in regarded as one of the country’s most popular fast food chains.
Apart from Royal Castle, Auto Stop, Star Car Auto Sales and Singh’s Roti Shop are some of the other entities to have pledged support to Team Xtreme.
