Second half goals from Shawn Mohamed and Malachi Nelson handed Dolphin a 2-1 victory over Lodge when the semi final of the South Georgetown zone of the Digicel National Schools football championships was contested yesterday at Tuvcille ground.
Mark Reece gave Lodge the lead in the 29th minute when he netted from inside the area before Dolphin rebounded in the second half to earn a spot in the final.
Mohamed found the equaliser in the 58th minute; the striker converted from the spot after Cosmos DeSantos handled the ball inside area following a cross from Nelson.
Nelson then provided his team with the winner through a brilliant solo goal in the 64th, beating three defenders in the process before firing home from inside the 18-yard box.
Lodge made some valiant attempts to draw level in the closing stages, but couldn’t pierce their opponents’ defence.
