PNB Electrical defeated Cuffy All Star by 14 runs to capture the Pest Max six-over tapeball title yesterday at the National Park Tarmac.

Batting first in front of a fair-sized crowd, PNB Electrical posted 83-2 off their allotted six overs. They were largely indebted to Winston Forrester who struck four fours and a similar number of sixes in an entertaining 45. He added 70 for the for the third wicket stand with Carlos La Rose (09*) after his team lost Martin Pestano-Belle (04) and Nizam Khan early on. Mark Cumberbatch and Casie Watson took one wicket each.
Cuffy XI were restricted for 69-5 in six overs in reply. Mark Nicholson cracked 24 (2×4, 2×6) as Forrester returned to capture 3-15 thus earning the man of the match award. PNB Electrical received $30,000 and Cuffy XI $15,000.
PNB Electrical overcame Shot Gun by 14 runs in their semi final encounter. PNB Electrical managed 80-2 in six overs. Forrester scored 23, Khan 16 and Robin Bacchus 15. Shot Gun made 66-4 in six overs in response.
Cuffy All Star tied with Tarmac XI in the next semi final, but the former advanced by virtue of hitting more sixes (competition rules). Cuffy All Star rattled up 106 with out loss, batting first. Earl Gilkes led with 64 (2×4, 8×6) and Kenny Cox contributed 25. Tarmac XI replied with 106-2 off their allocation of overs. David Dick scored 41 (2×4,5×6) and Ronale Bourne 36 (3×4,4×6).
