Berbice Amateur Basketball Association begins outreach
Newly elected President of the Berbice Amateur Basketball Association (BABA), Keith Myers, has begun a countywide outreach to clubs in the outlying areas in an effort to sensitise those in the outlying areas about the fundamentals of the game and new Basketball rules.
The outreach is also to help streamline the game in the various areas and form

Mr. Myers, who was a former Berbice player and a retired Veterinarian, on Sunday made a visit to Fyrish Village when he interacted with players and officials of the Fyrish Black Sharks Basketball club and the Rose Hall Town and the Rose Hall Jammers Basketball clubs in the pavilion of the Fyrish Basketball court.
Myers, who was accompanied by other officials of the Association including Secretary Petra Ford and Public Relations Officer Eli Hazel, outlined his plans for the game and proposed plans for the year. He also spoke about club structure, education, finances and benefits to be had from playing the game and being a part of a proper organised structure.
They plan to visit the other areas in the coming week including West Berbice and Upper Corentyne among others.
