Letter to the Sports Editor…Horseracing Authority debunks false rumors
Dear Sports Editor,
It is being alleged that the Guyana Horse Racing had written to Digicel informing it that the race meeting fixed for December 15 at Port Mourant race track has not been sanctioned by the Authority and, therefore, sponsorship should not be provided.
I must categorically deny this allegation as the Authority some weeks ago did in fact give written approval to the Club for the running off of the race meeting.
I have spoken to a high official of Digicel, who has informed me that the Company was not approached for sponsorship
