is lucky to be alive since he was struck by lightning on Tuesday while awaiting passengers to return to Supenaam Stelling.
He sustained severe burns to both feet.
The speedboat was destroyed. Singh however managed to salvage his engine which was also badly burnt.
Recalling the incident, Singh who has been plying the river for the past six-years said he initially heard a loud noise after which he felt a burning sensation on both of his feet.
Singh said that he was forced to jump overboard before his colleagues recognized that something was wrong.
Singh is currently recuperating at his Supenaam home. His mangled boat is moored at the Parika Stelling, where the incident occurred.
