caught over the weekend with cocaine strapped to her body.
According to the online news, Antigua Observer, Lisa Natasha Nichols was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison after she was caught attempting to smuggle seven pounds of cocaine into Antigua and Barbuda.
She appeared in court on Tuesday and will have to return on December 13 for committal proceedings.
The Guyana-born woman, who is also a US citizen and said to be from Queens, New York, was on her way to Canada, at the time, Antiguan police said.
She was intercepted by officers of the Narcotics Division upon her arrival at the VC Bird International Airport. The illegal drug was found strapped to her body.
