Play in the Central Police Station Inter Service and Community Outreach Programme continued over the weekend with the conclusion of the Domino competition which was played at the Central Police Station Recreational Hall, Cobourg Street New Amsterdam. The competition saw a number of teams participating, with the Felix Austin Training School 24B team defeating their 25B counterparts and the B division No1 subdivision teams in the finals.
The 24B batch of the school showed that they are taking their instruction seriously by dishing a beating on their 25B counterparts and the B division No1 subdivision. The 24B team won by a runaway 84 Games, with their 25B counterparts straggling some 18 games behind with 68 games and the No one sub Division, who seems badly in need of some direction, discipline and training, trailing in last with 66 games.
The training school 24B assault was lead by Carlos Pollydore who scored the Maximum 18 games and was well supported by Donald McKenzie 15, with 14 from Sherwin Arthur. Top scoring for the 25B teams were Delmar Hinds 15 and Winston Blair 12. Andrew Sealy top scored for the No1 subdivision team with 15 games.
At the end of the games the winning 24B team was presented with the winning trophy by Officer Commanding Number one subdivision, Assistant Superintendent Rishi Dass.
The Central Police Operational outreach programme and Youth Club has so far completed a 20/20 competition which was won by the Guyana Fire Service and a five a side football competition which was won by the Felix Austin Training School 25B team. The activity was coordinated by station sergeant Jairam Ramlakhan Coordinator of the Central Police Station Sports, Community and Outreach Programme.
