Inter Schools Football competition on in Berbice today
The second Annual T and G Sports Club and Outreach Programme, which is a combination of personnel from Trinidad and Guyana with their local contact based in East Canje, will be once again host their Inter school Under-13 First form Football Extravaganza, for schools the New Amsterdam Canje area.
Six schools are down to participate in the competition namely defending champions Vryman’s Erven Secondary School (VESS), Berbice High School ( BHS), Berbice Educational Institute (BEI),Canje Secondary School (CSS), New Amsterdam Multilateral Secondary, Tutorial Academy Secondary (TASS).
Trophies and medals are up for grabs for the winner and runner up teams, while other outstanding players will be presented with medals, trophies, footballs other football accessories and school equipment.
Accolades will be presented Best Goalkeeper, most goal scorer, Best defender, Most Outstanding Player while special on the spot rewards will also be present to other outstanding players. Team awards will be presented to the team with the Best Banner and the team bringing first in the March Past and the most disciplined team on show.
All the schools participating in the competition will be presented with Shin Pads, Hose, Bibs and footballs.
