Guyana were outplayed in their opening game of the CONCACAF Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament by Mexico 7-2 at the Estadio Beto Avila Stadium in Cancun, Mexico.
The young and inexperienced and Guyanese team, while outplayed by a better team, did show signs of fight and determination. Mexico`s Maribel Dominguez netted 4 goals.
Technical Director Mark Rodrigues, while disappointed with the loss, says his girls will rebound from this defeat.
