Long regarded as one of the country’s most talented riders, Alonzo Greaves career received a significant boost recently when a group of well wishers and business entities made good on a promise to pool their financial resources together and buy him a brand new Road Bike that should certainly improve his performance.
Greaves took the opportunity last Saturday to show off his 2010 model Italian-made CLX Colnago Carbon fibre racing bike at the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club.
According to the young talent, the cost of the new equipment is in the vicinity of US$5,000. Greaves who is in the process of getting accustomed to the bike said he is optimistic that it will enhance his performance and garner better results for him.
The cyclist is also set to receive a new track bike shortly from another business entity, but those details will be announced soon.
