Heavy rain in Berbice on Saturday caused the washout of all play in the first round of the 2009 Berbice Zone of the National GCB First Division Cricket Competition with all three of them ending in draws.
At the Edinburgh Ground, Edinburgh were to resume at their overnight 160 for 5, still needing a further 77 runs to avoid an innings defeat against Bermine who scored 406 for 9 declared. Meanwhile, over at Blairmont, even though Saturday was rained out there was still play on Sunday, the last day for that match which saw Police managing to take first innings points from Blairmont Community Centre in that match which also ended in a draw.
