According to Straker, her grandmother was the mother of two but her only son died on her 100th birthday leaving her with one daughter alive. Morrison is a proud grandmother of numerous grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Straker said since she knew her grandmother the woman was a housewife spending her time taking care of children.
She said that back in 1997 she stopped working to take care of Mrs. Morrison whom she grew up with.
Being able to take care of her grandmother, Straker said is very interesting and requires full time care, which she enjoys.
Ms Sraker added that after being around her for all these years she is well aware of her likes and dislikes.
“She loves soup and met-em-gee she is not too much of a rice person,” Straker said.
Despite her age, the only medical complain Morrison has is arthritis which she developed a few years ago.
For her birthday yesterday, Morrison was treated with cake and lots to eat. Most importantly close family members and friends surrounded her.
