Dear Editor,
According to Mr. Kissoon (Kaieteur News, July 14, 2009), he simply cannot accept what Dr. Ramsammy says as truth because he (Kissoon) do not “go around accepting any and everything politicians tell me.”
Perhaps, Mr. Kissoon should have added “unless the politician speaks negatively of the PPP”. So what must Dr. Ramsammy do to prove that he is telling the truth? Would an affidavit from every medical facility in the US satisfy Mr. Kissoon?
Should I now hold Mr. Kissoon to the same standard and believe everything that my Canadian friends tell me about why Mr. Kissoon is known as “Big Coat” Kissoon. After all, why would anyone wear a “Big Coat” in the middle of summer and while indoors in a library in Canada, unless of course, he/she has something to hide?
Now, maybe before Mr. Kissoon, gets around to questioning the veracity of every PPP minister, he may want to tell us why he was known as “Big Coat” Kissoon. I’d love to hear his explanation. However, I must confess that I do not go around accepting any and everything newspaper commentators tell me.
