Miss Guyana Universe ready and waiting…
Reigning Miss Guyana Universe, Meleesa Payne (centre) is flanked by the fifteen young ladies who will compete for this year
The fifteen delegates of this year’s Miss Guyana Universe Pageant were recently sashed at the Umana Yana, at an affair that was graced with high class fashion, glamour and serene elegance.
At the function, the girls were officially introduced to sponsors, the media, and would-be sponsors.
Reigning Miss Guyana Universe, Meleesa Payne, was also in attendance.
The pageant is set for Saturday July 4, at the National Cultural Centre, where the ladies will be judged in the evening gown, swimsuit and intelligence segments.
The intelligence segment will be aired live on television.
The queen will head to The Bahamas in August to compete with 91 other women from around the world.
The lucky contestant who wins the Miss Guyana Universe title will receive some $2.5M in prizes, inclusive of a 21-day stay at the world famous Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, and two round-trip tickets to Jamaica for one week, with hotel accommodation.
