Andre Boyce crowned King of the Table at the 2026 CSAG & MMG National 8-Ball Pools Championship

Kaieteur Sports – Following four days of intense competition and high-stakes manoeuvring, the Cue Sports Association Guyana (CSAG) and Mobile Money Guyana (MMG) have crowned Andre Boyce as the 2026 National 8-Ball Champion.

The tournament, which commenced on July 4 and concluded with a thrilling final day on July 12, brought together the finest cueists from across the length and breadth of Guyana. A field of 70 elite players represented regions including Georgetown, East Bank, West Bank, West Coast, Berbice, Linden, East Coast and Essequibo, making it one of the most geographically diverse and competitive tournaments in the association’s history.

Andre Boyce emerged as the standout performer of the week, displaying exceptional skill, tactical brilliance and composure under pressure. His clinical performance in the final rounds earned him the prestigious national title and the top spot on the podium.

Jerry Josie secured second place following a series of dominant performances throughout the knockout stages, while Mario Albert and Ritick Persaud shared third place. Jameel De Agrella, Anthony Xavier, Parsram Sobhai and McQuain Smith rounded out the top finishers with fourth-place honours.

“The talent on display this year has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said Steven Persaud, the President of the Cue Sports Association Guyana. “To see 70 players from so many different regions coming together proves that cue sports are thriving in Guyana. We would like to congratulate Andre Boyce on his well-deserved victory and extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our top performers.”

MMG Chief Executive Officer Mark Singh said the company was proud to support a championship that celebrates sporting excellence while bringing together talented players from across Guyana.
