Kaieteur Sports – Covent Garden strolled to a huge 58-run win yesterday after dismantling Diamond Secondary in yesterday’s latest round of School’s T20 action played at the Uitvlugt Community Center Ground.
Batting first, Covent Garden were kept to 90-10 after 16.3 overs, with Shane Khan (14) and Terick Jadgeo (11) being the two main scorers.
Diamond Secondary bowled extremely well thanks to the efforts of Vikash Roopnarine (3-10), Nazeem Persaud (2-10) and Paul Mcturk (2-11).
However, Diamond would miss the opportunity to capitalize on a victory and eventually found themselves strangled for a paltry 32-10 inside 8 overs.
Khan returned to bag impressive figures of 3-18, but it was Man-of-the-match Vinesh Kalpoo’s return of 3-3 which swung the match fully in favor of Covent Garden, as no batsman managed to reach double figures for Diamond Secondary.
