Henry to captain team to Sir Garfield Sobers Schools Cricket Tournament in Barbados

Kaieteur Sports – A number of teams and players from Guyana will be heading over to Barbados to participate in the annual Sir Garfield Sobers Intentional Schools cricket tournament, which brings teams from all over the world.
The New York TRI-State Youth Cricket Development Inc., which is a cricket organisation based in New York United States. The organisation which was founded in 2002 by Former Guyana National fast bowler Linden Fraser will be sending two cricket teams to the competition.

Namely, the NY Tri-State and New York Tri-State Lynx cricket teams. The NY Tri State team is the defending champion.
Fraser is also the head coach. He is assisted by Basil Butcher Jr., who is the strength and conditioning Coach. According to Fraser, they were runner-up the year before and will bw going all out to retain the championship.
The two teams are made of a number of players from numerous countries including Guyana, USA and Asia.
The NY TRI STATE team will be coached by Linden Fraser himself. The squad will be captained by Ekansh Rastogi with Ajay Prithiviraj and Dave Mohabir as Co-Captains.
The rest of the squad is -Emmanuel Lewis, Aarav Chopra, Raghav Prabhune, Sachin Lakhan, Malay Patel, Ishaan Unnithan, Laksh Warty, Vir Ajmera, Arun Gainda and Antoni Waterman.
The manager is Tracy Glasgow.
The second team, which is the NY TRI STATE LYNX Cricket team, will have Guyanese wicketkeeper batsman Thierry Henry as one of the co-captains. The other two are Ravaldo Pereira as captain and Nikhil Mudaliar – co-captain.
The rest of the squad is Makai Dowlin, Danvir Seegobin, Jayhayden Rohlehr, Ayden Raju, Hemakesh Kissoon, Zemuel Felix, Prosper Jacobus, Kaiden Smith, Vijai Kalpu and Ashwin Sreenivasan.
Henry, an opening batsman and wicketkeeper from the Tucber Park cricket club, was unfortunate to be left out of the Guyana team for the Regional U19 competition. He will have club mates, fast bowler Rohlehr and left-arm spinner Felix in his team.
Butcher Jr will serve as coach while Akaze Thompson will manage the team. The two-week tournament will be held from July 13.
