Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) recently distributed equipment to associations from across the 9 regions ahead of the upcoming U13, U15 and U17 Boys’ Championships.
Following Saturday’s official launch of the Youth Ensemble Programme the GFF presented gear which featured footballs, bibs and refereeing equipment such as jerseys, flags, cards and whistles.
The GFF is also expected to give financial contributions to assist with ground rentals, payment of medical personnel and coordinators, refreshments, and other match-day operational and logistical requirements.
“I want to thank the regional associations for their hard work, commitment and unwavering support as we continue to build stronger foundations for youth football across Guyana. Your efforts are critical to the successful implementation of the Youth Ensemble Programme and to creating meaningful opportunities for our young players,” Said GFF president Wayne Forde.
The Youth Ensemble Programme is geared towards providing significant future opportunities as a means of an overall investment scheme which targets football development across Guyana.
Action will kick off on weekends primarily with all matches aimed at further preparing Guyana’s future crop of players for their time on the international fixtures
