Infante’s body at the scene
Kaieteur News- Police have arrested a 45-year-old woman after a Cuban man was shot dead around 05:45hrs. on Sunday at a bar along Forshaw Street, Queenstown Georgetown.
The dead man has been identified as 23-year-old Dainier Vegas Infante of Alexander Village. Reports are that Infante worked at the bar as a janitor.
Police learnt from its preliminary investigations that Infante was at the bar when four men arrived at the location.

They started a conversation with two men seated outside of the bar. A short while later, Infante came out of the bar and approached the men. One of them pulled out a handgun and shot him in the neck area.
The shooting captured on CCTV footage. The video recording showed that Infante fell to the ground and started bleeding from the wound in his neck.
His killer entered a white vehicle and escaped while the other men escaped in separate vehicles.
Crime Sleuth combed the scene for evidence and Infante’s body was removed and taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral home.
Police managed to track the killer’s get-away car which led to the arrest of a 45-year-old woman of Little Diamond East Bank Demerara.
The car was also seized and is in police custody as investigations continue.
