Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Police Force (GPF) cricket teams continued to shine with a couple of wins this past weekend when action in the American Cricket Society and the Sherwin Williams T20 competitions continued.
At Lusignan Sports Club on Sunday, Guyana Harpy Eagles wicketkeeper-batsman Kemol Savory spanked a clean 76 which propelled Police Sports Club to 199 for 9 from 25 overs.
Help came from Kyle Michael (31) and Kanhaiya Ramkarran (24) who added to the total.
However, the American Cricket Society surged to 203 for 7 despite West Indies all-rounder Quentin Sampson bagging 3-36. Harpy Eagles opener Raymond Perez scored 65 while Aldane Thomas (47) did and Bhaskar Yadram (31*) help set up the 3-wicket victory.
Meanwhile, Police A Team recorded a 163-run victory over the University of Guyana in the Georgetown Cricket Association’s (GCA) Sherwin Williams T20 2nd Division Tournament, played on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve-Leary.
Police A Team racked up an imposing 258-4 from their 20 overs after a berserk knock of 140 off 58 deliveries from Dwain Dick.
Dick hammered 17 fours and 8 sixes, alongside Andrew Lyght Jr who cracked a 29-ball 54 (7×3 3×6), which put University of Guyana under pressure as they folded for 95-7 by the end of their 20 overs.
Yeshua Hutson led the University scoring with 51 from 66 balls, despite the loss, as Police A Team’s Kapildeo Charandeen bagged 2 wickets along with help from Mark Jeffers and Ameer Mohamed who claimed a wicket each.
