A belligerent innings from Region #3 saw them notch up an imposing 218 for 7 from their allotted 20 overs, during the opening game of yesterday’s second round.
Top-order batsmen Hughes, who punched 59 with 3 fours and 4 sixes and opener Jobe, who carved 5 fours and as many sixes in his 58 runs, carried their team to a hefty first innings total.
Bowling for Region #10, Michael Frederick bagged 3 wickets despite being a bit expensive, leaking 47 runs from his quota of 4 overs.

Region #3’s equalled their excellent batting outing by following up with an exceptional bowling exhibition led by Hemraj Persaud, who snared 5-20 runs from his four overs.
Meanwhile, Vibert Johnson lent support with an excellent spell returning 3-11 runs from only two overs, which helped to seal a brilliant win by almost a 100-run deficit. (Clifton Ross)
