(Kaieteur News) – The longest running theatre production in the history of Guyana, the annual satirical “LINK SHOW”, will be making its television debut from March 7-15th, 2026.
The Link Show was first staged at the National Cultural Centre in 1981 and has staged 37 annual productions to date. Over the years, the production was staged in Charity, Corriverton, Linden and other parts of Guyana before it travelled to Canada, New York, New Jersey and Washington.
The show has attracted mammoth audiences at the National Cultural Centre surpassing any other show. Link Show 25 was staged for 15 nights at the Centre then travelled for another 10 shows in the outlying regions of Guyana.
Link Show Director Gem Madhoo-Nascimento told this publication that the show is responsible for many of our older thespians, growing and new talents seen on television, heard on radio and currently on stage.
Launched by The Theatre Company with Directors Ron Robinson (recently departed), Gem Madhoo and Ian McDonald at the helm, the show will now take the form of one hour per day TV production.
On March 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th, the show will be aired on TVG28, NCN11, HGPTV65, MTV, ENET 1 and Ignite channel6/ENET 6 at varying times starting from 5.00p.m to 10.00p.m. Madhoo-Nascimento urged fans and patrons of the link show to be on the lookout for the television series.
The TV series will be produced by GEM Theatre Productions, Madhoo-Nascimento is the Director and the main cast includes some of Guyana’s well known act in of Micahel Ignatius, Mark Luke-Edwards, Sean Budnah, Rovindra Persaud, Brandon Singh, Simone Dowding, Le Tisha DaSilva, Tchaiko Rodney, Latiefa Agard, Marisa Morgan-Bonie, Amrita Koshall, Stephen Asif Mohamed and Aliyah David.
According to the Director, Link Show 38 promises to continue to provide patrons with the same entertainment and laughter but now in the comfort of your home.
