Kaieteur Sports – Inter-association Under-19 cricket is back and more competitive with the upcoming Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) hosting an upcoming limited overs tournament, geared towards the continued growth of cricket in and around the country.
Among the players set to feature in the competition, West Indies U19 World Cup player Shamar Apple, alongside outstanding local talents such as Parmeshwar Ram, Marcel Nandu, Joshua Budhram, and Russel Anderson are among those set to showcase their skills.
These rising stars will battle it out for their associations, chasing bragging rights and glory.
This exciting tournament brings together five fiercely competitive teams, showcasing the future of Guyana’s cricket. Expect high-intensity action, raw talent, and unforgettable performances as tomorrow’s champions take center stage.
The teams are as follows: West Demerara Cricket Association (WDCA), East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB), Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA), East Bank Cricket Association (EBCA) and Upper Demerara Cricket Association, (UDCA).
The tournament officially bowls off on Feb 22, 2026, with matches scheduled to be played across the county of Demerara, all matches are scheduled to start at 09:30hrs.
