(Kaieteur News) – A 36-year-old driver was on Wednesday granted $300,000 bail after appearing in court on firearm, ammunition and narcotics-related charges.
Audwin Mingo of Bamia, Linden Highway, was arrested on February 8, 2026, at Amelia’s Ward, Linden. He was accused of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm without a licence, and possession of ammunition without a licence.
He was subsequently charged and appeared before Magistrate Rushelle Liverpool at the Linden Magistrate’s Court, where the charges were read to him.
Mingo pleaded not guilty to all three offences and was granted bail in the sum of $100,000 on each charge.
The matters were adjourned to March 12, 2026.
