Kaieteur Sports – The North Essequibo Cricket Committee recently launched the Chunilall Balgobin Memorial T20 Competition at the Essequibo Cricket Board Hostel in Anna Regina.
It was disclosed that 10 teams would be participating being divided into 2 groups.
Group B will feature: Renegades Cricket Club, Affiance Sports Club, International Import & Supplies Challengers, DC Titans and Sparwin Sports Club.
Group A will see: Reliance Hustlers, Walton Hall Sports Club, Richmond United, Walton Hall Junior, and Young Achievers.
Prize money to the tune of $1,000,000 would be up for grabs for the top performers.
The competition is being played in memory of the late Mr. Chunilall Balgobin who was a former Chairman of the North Essequibo Cricket Committee.
Matches will play at the Joe Jagmohan Cricket Ground, Sparta Cricket Ground, Reliance Sports Club Ground, Walton Hall Ground and Richmond United Ground.
