Bandits relieve city men of cash, phones and jewels
(Kaieteur News) – Bandits armed with a gun and riding a motorcycle robbed three men of their cellphones, cash and jewellery during an attack at Harpy Drive, North East La Penitence, Georgetown Tuesday night.
Police in a press release said the robbery occurred around 21:50hrs during which three males ages 23, 35 and 37, all of North East La Penitence were relieved of a quantity of cash, a cellular phone, jewellery and other personal items.
Preliminary enquiries revealed that two unidentifiable males on a motorcycle, one of whom was armed with a handgun approached the victims and carried out the robbery before escaping. Ranks visited and processed the scene. No injuries were reported. CCTV cameras were observed and will be reviewed. Efforts are being made to locate the suspects. Investigations continue.
