(Kaieteur News) – The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) joins with the rest of the cricketing fraternity in expressing sincere sympathy and deepest condolences to West Indies, Guyana and Berbice fast bowling sensation Shamar Joseph. Joseph, who hails from Baracara up the Canje River, recently lost his father, Eustace Joseph after a period of illness and hospitalization.
The BCB is taking the opportunity with heavy hearts in expressing sorrow at the loss of the senior Joseph. A native of Baracara, a maroon village way up the Canje River.
The senior Joseph was a well-known logger and farmer in his village, who cared for his family. He was a proud father who supported Shamar in all his cricketing exploits.
The BCB learnt of his passing recently and has taken the opportunity with heavy hearts to express sorrow. In reaching out to Shamar Joseph, the BCB wants him to know that it stands with him and the rest of the family in this time of bereavement.

“The BCB hopes that you find peace and comfort during this difficult time, knowing that he was there with you all the way. May almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and peace,” a statement disclosed. (Samuel Whyte)
