Bent St/VP Futsal…
Kaieteur Sports – Defending champion Gold is Money, Team Spirit, Sparta Boss, and North East La Penitence secured their berths to the round of 16 when the 2nd edition of the Bent Street/VP ‘Champion of Champions’ Futsal Cup continued on Friday night at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Team Spirit whipped Victoria to advance to Bent Street round-of-16
Gold is Money squeaked past Plaisance 2-1 in the fifth encounter of the evening. On the other hand, newcomer and emerging powerhouse Team Spirit battered Victoria 6-1 in the final match of the night.
Likewise, traditional giant Sparta Boss crushed Harmony Ballers 5-1 in the penultimate contest of the night.
Meanwhile, North East La Penitence whipped Pike Street 4-0 while Stabroek Ballers downed Eastside 3-1 and Corinthians overcame Albouystown 2-1.
Also, Bent St B edged Marad Ballers 2-1. The event will resume on Tuesday at the same venue.
The winner of the event will receive $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the second-, third-, and fourth-place finishers will pocket $500,000, $300,000, and $200,000, respectively, and the corresponding accolade.
The event will also feature a women’s and youth segment which will commence at the semifinal round of the main draw. $150,000 will be given to the winner of the women’s section, while $100,000 will be awarded to the victor of the youth division. Both second-place finishers will receive $50,000. Below is the complete results and fixtures for the next round.
