Meanwhile, in a statement the Guyana Police Force said it is investigating the fatal accident which occurred on Monday November 3, 2025 about 20:30hrs at the intersection of Practor Road and Kara Kara Public Road, Linden.
The accident involved Motorcycle # CP 6912 and Motor Car # PAE 7246, which was being driven by a 45-year-old excavator operator of Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden. The impact caused both the rider and pillion rider to be thrown onto the roadway, resulting in severe injuries.
The rider and pillion rider were picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the Linden Hospital Complex where they were pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty. Their bodies were later escorted to the Gjetsco Funeral Home Mortuary for storage, pending post-mortem examinations.
Both vehicles were lodged at the Mackenzie Police Station for examination. CCTV footage from the area will be reviewed to assist the investigation while the driver of the motor car remains in police custody as investigations continue.
