Kaieteur Sports – History has been made. The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has officially unveiled its first-ever national esports roster, following the conclusion of the GFF eSports League – Console Division.

GFF’s National eSports squad
The four-player squad will represent the Golden Arrowhead at the FIFAe World Cup 2025 Regional Qualifiers, marking Guyana’s long-awaited debut on the global esports football stage.
The GFF eSports League delivered high drama, skillful gameplay, and nail-biting finishes. After weeks of competition that drew 33 registered players, the console battlefield came down to four standouts who punched their tickets to national team status.
Moen Hall was named Champion, GFF Console Division 2025, while Trayon Guillaume placed second.
While Ricardo Sukra placed and Jermaine Lewis were third and fourth respectively.
These players have now etched their names in the history books as Guyana’s first official esports national squad, operating under the governance of the GFF. Together, they’ll take on the best in the region in pursuit of qualification for the prestigious FIFAe World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The announcement was made official during a presentation ceremony at the GFF headquarters, where the players were honored in front of key football and esports stakeholders.
GFF General Secretary, Chattopadhyay, alongside Technical Director Bryan Joseph and Senior Men’s National Team Head Coach Thomas Dooley, presented the gamers with their official national kits, symbolic of their elevation from local competitors to national representatives.
Now, the grind begins. With the Regional Qualifiers looming, Guyana’s esports squad shifts into preparation mode for the Road to Riyadh 2025. Training schedules, tactical analysis, and competitive scrims will all be part of the process as the players aim to sharpen their gameplay for the highest level of FIFAe competition
For Guyana, this moment signals a new era. No longer just a football nation on the grass, the country now has digital athletes ready to showcase their skill, composure, and passion in the esports arena. With eyes fixed on Riyadh, the journey has only just begun.
