Guyana will face Windwards today as the 2025 CWI Regional Rising Stars Regional U17 championships bowl off.
Kaieteur Sports – Regional Under-17 cricket bowls off today with the West Indies top rising stars will be on show as Trinidad and Tobago hosts this season’s championship tournament.
Guyana winged out on Sunday after a successful encampment phase which lasted a few weeks, as the players got some time to gel and work on their craft as a unit.
During the training camp, the local lads had a real time two-day training match at the LBI Ground, with a number of field, net and cardio sessions.
Today’s opening round will see Guyana playing Windward Islands at the National Cricket Center, likewise home team Trinidad and Tobago will battle Barbados at the Inshan Ali Ground.
Leeward Islands and the Jamaicans will cap off the opening round with their battle which will be hosted at the Pierre Rd Recreational Ground; with all three first round matches bowling off from 10:00h respectively.
Matches will be played every other day with a rest day being given to the players in between games. Guyana will be keen on utilizing the talents of their squad to get the better of their Caribbean opponents.
