Kaieteur News – Every day in Guyana, like clockwork, a new sucker does born. Is like is a national policy now—breed ignorance fast and furious. Yuh don’t need no hospital, no midwife, just open yuh mouth and prove you qualify fuh the title.
De latest episode in “Dumb and Dumber: Guyana Edition” come after de fire at Critchlow Labour College. As soon as de place bun down, dem internet investigators—who can’t spell “arson” but quick to holler conspiracy—start shouting, “Government bun it down fuh give contract to dem friends!”
One woman seh plain plain, “Dem bun it down fuh rebuild it.” When ask who bun it, she seh, “Is me fuh know and you fuh find out.” Like is Scooby-Doo she watching whole day.
Dem boys want ask she if government got contract to build private property now? Critchlow ain’t belong to government. It ain’t no ministry, it ain’t no NDC. But ignorance ain’t need logic. It just need a phone and a lil free Wi-Fi.
And dem boys notice something else—de more wild de story, de more shares it get. Viral!
One man seh if de government really want to give contract to dem friends, dem wouldn’t need to bun down nothing. Is bare fancy projects flying round like mosquito—stadium here, highway there, and sea defence in de middle of nowhere.
Dem boys seh Guyana need a new ministry—Ministry of Common Sense. But we frighten it gon burn down too… and de same people gon blame government again.
So till then, we stuck with de daily production line of suckers. Some born yesterday. Some just logged in today. All ready to believe anything except facts.
Dem boys seh if stupidity was fuel, Guyana woulda export it by now.
Talk half. Leff half.
