Kaieteur News – Two masked bandits on a motorcycle reportedly robbed two women at gunpoint on Thursday at La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara (WBD).
The victims were identified as Rayleen Patterson, a 26-year-old teacher from Parfaite Harmonie and her aunt, Alicia Brown of Sophia.
They were attacked around 21:30 hrs., police said in a press statement.
Patterson and her aunt were in her yard at La Parfait Harmonie when the bandits approached them.
One of the bandits was reportedly dressed in a pair of black jeans, a black T-shirt, and black Polo slippers with white logos and armed with a hand gun. The other suspect was dressed in black and white boots, grey pants, and white shirt.
The duo held the women at gunpoint and relieved them of a gold chain valued at approximately $350,000, a pair of gold earrings valued at $25,000 and $50,000 cash.
The suspects then reportedly fled the scene on the motorcycle, heading west.
Police are on the hunt for them.
On Friday, two motorcycle bandits reportedly shot a clothes vendor dead during a robbery at Mocha, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
