Kaieteur News – A 48-year-old businesswoman was on Tuesday released on $50,000 bail for possession of narcotics.
Kaleta Victoria Bristol of Lot 867 Dazzle Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara (ECD), appeared at the Bartica Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Teriq Mohammed.
Bristol pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on Monday, July 14, she was found with 152 grams of marijuana in a motor pick-up bearing registration number PAH 7995 at the Itaballi police checkpoint.
Magistrate Mohammed granted Bristol bail and she is required to report to the Enmore Police Station the last Friday of every month.
The matter was adjourned to August 9, 2025.
