Kaieter News – The Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) Pre-Emancipation Horserace Meet is set for Sunday 27th July at their race track at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne Berbice.
A total of six races are on the day’s card with the E2 and lower one-mile race the feature event.
The winning horse will race away $500,000 and trophy.
Other events on the day’s card are the H and Lower seven furlongs Race which will see the winner racing away with $400,000 and trophy.
There is a race for I3 and lower horses for a winner’s purse of $300,000 and trophy over five furlongs.
The horses competing in the L Open contest will be battling over six furlongs. The winning prize $300,000 and trophy.
Two years old Guyana bred Open animals have five furlongs to cover as they compete for the $300,000 and trophy available for the top runner.
In the J and lower race, the animals will also be competing for the winners take of $300,000 and trophy in the six furlongs contest.
Horses can be entered by contacting Satish Bowan on 610- 0250, Isaac Dalloo- 689-0629, T. Jagdeo- 618-7278, Campton Sancho 682-8550 or Ropnauth Sewsankar- 678-6722 or any other executive of the club.
With the absence of a Guyana Horse Racing Authority (GHRA), the event will be conducted under the aegis of the KMTC.
