Govt. to spend $35M to extend Mahdia Secondary School
Kaieteur News- The Regional Democratic Council (RDC) of Region Eight is preparing to spend approximately $35 million of an allocated $2.2 billion to extend the Mahdia Secondary School.
Bids for the project were recently opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office, where it was revealed that four contractors have applied for the project. They all bid between $29 million and $37 million to execute the project.
Notably, the Regional Administration will be extending the Campbelltown Primary School at a cost of $25 million.
The government, through the Ministries of Education and Local Government, have been extending, constructing and maintaining school buildings across the country to improve access to education.
