Kaieteur Sports- The Guyana Darts Association participated in the just concluded Championship Darts Latin America and Caribbean (CDLC) Darts Qualifiers held in Panama. The doubles game had 3 pairs, participated, and the singles were 4 individual players.
Participants of this tournament were from across the Caribbean and Latin America, and Guyana continued to rank amongst the best in the darts fraternity. The pairs of Sudesh Fitzgerald/Norman Madhoo made it to the semifinals but lost to Argentina, who went on to win the doubles crown and earned a spot at the World Cup.
Adrian Damon/Luis Miguel Ramirez-Merlano made it through to the quarter-finals but lost to Costa Rica, and Christopher Lochan/Anil Lachhman were knocked out in the round of 64.
The singles were keenly contested by Mr. Sudesh Fitzgerald, Norman Madhoo, Lalchan Rambarose, and Christopher Lochan. At the end of this event, Sudesh Fitzgerald secured 20 points at 3rd position and Norman Madhoo 6 points in 16 positions. The next leg of the Qualifier is in the Bahamas during the period July 25 – 27, 2025. It must be noted that this is a three-stage qualifying process, and the association is hereby seeking sponsorship from Cooperate Guyana to make the Bahamas and Chile qualifiers possible as we rally around Sudesh Fitzgerald and Norman Madhoo, either can take the top spot to represent us at the World Championship.

The Guyana Darts Association held its Biennial General Meeting on March 28, 2025, and a new executive body was elected. The new body is a diverse group of people who have pledged their support for the growth of darts and the development of the association.
The new officer bearers are: President – Mr. Sean Fenty, Vice President – Mr. Adrian Damon, General Secretary – Mrs. Natisha Fordyce-Graham, Treasurer – Ms. Melisa Smartt, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer – Dr. Terence Joseph and Public Relation Officer – Mr. Sheik Yaseen.
Committee members: Mr. Sherywn Greene, Mr.Christopher Lochan, Ms.Victorine Chandro and Mr. Norman Madhoo.
