Upper Corentyne Cricket Association has new executive body
The newly elected office bearers of the Upper Corentyne Cricket Association.
Kaieteur Sports – The Upper Corentyne Cricket Association recently held its Annual General Meeting where a new body was elected to control the game in that part of the country.
Following the election of office bearers, an 11-member body was put in place to take charge of the cricket in the Upper Corentyne.
The following persons and their respective position were elected to serve the game there – The new President is Lakeram Lathman, filling the position of Vice President is Visham Rampersaud. The Secretary is Basdeo Seenauth, while the Treasurer position will be occupied by Tharesh Ramgahan. The Assistant Secretary/Treasurer position was taken by Bhim Ramkissoon.
There are six Committee Members – are Chaitram Persaud, Vadanand Sugrim, Sadeek Amin, Thrishan Ramdass, Chandradeo Laljit and Shreenarine Laljit.
The body has since met after the election and worked out a programme for cricket in the area.
They have so far organised a competition which is already underway. Results will be available in a subsequent release. (Samuel Whyte)
