Kaieteur News- The decomposing body of an unidentified man was found on Thursday at Green Field North, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
Police said identified the remains to be that of a man of East Indian descent. The discovery was made around 15:05 hrs. after police received a 911 call.
The dead man, according to police, was found lying on his back and “…Clad in blue knee-length shorts and an orange checkered shirt, an orange rubber slipper on his feet, and a white salt bag with clothing beneath his head”.
No marks of violence were seen on the decomposing remains, police said.
Investigation continues as the body awaits identification at the Memorial Gardens funeral home.
