Kaieteur Sports- Demerara suffered a 82-run loss at the hands of Berbice batsman Jada Fraser who scored a pivotal half-century as she starred in yesterday’s round played at the LBI Ground.
Fraser hit a smooth 61 off 57 with 10 fours to lead Berbice to 149-3 off their 20 overs. Daniela Hicks finished on 30 not out with Tiea Issacs chipping in with 19.
Only Rebekah Cleto (2-30) and Shanaya McKay (1-22) did some damage for Demerara, who were strangely restricted to 67-5 by the time 20 overs expired.
Not much came from the batting except for Mahadevi Dass who toiled for her 51-ball 19 (2×4), as Danielle Manns started for Berbice with 2-7.
