Murray Designs debuts fashion show to mark brand’s evolutionary milestone

Kaieteur News – Founded by Fashion and Creative Director Naomi Murray over a decade ago, N. Murray Designs initially specialised in handmade bows and accessories. However, through dedication and vision, the brand has flourished into one of Guyana’s leading fashion houses, carving a niche in bridal wear, pageantry dresses, evening gowns, and ready-to-wear collections.

Throughout its journey, N. Murray Designs has been steadfast in its mission to empower women, fostering confidence, dynamism, and boldness through its meticulously crafted ensembles, earning itself a well-deserved reputation as a household name.

On April 13th, 2024, the prominent fashion house based in Guyana, celebrated a significant milestone with its inaugural Fashion Show held at the prestigious Herdmanston Lodge.

The event showcased the brand’s evolution over the past 12 years, featuring three major collections: bridal gowns, evening gowns, and female ready-to-wear, alongside the highly anticipated launch of its male ready-to-wear collection, all accompanied by live entertainment.

Additionally, the fashion show included the presentations of two other distinguished designers, Rissy Kouture Fashion & Nachle Design’s.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of N. Murray Designs’ Bridal collection, a culmination of five years of dedication and passion.

Comprising 18 exquisite pieces, including 15 bridal gowns and three mini bride ensembles, the collection captivated the audience with its elegance and timeless beauty. Simultaneously, the Fashion Show marked another milestone with the introduction of the brand’s first-ever gentlemen’s collection, featuring eight impeccably tailored pieces, alongside a stunning array of evening gowns and ready-to-wear garments totaling 12 pieces.

Reflecting on the journey that led to this momentous occasion, Naomi Murray, the CEO, expressed her profound pride and gratitude. “Just reflecting from where I started to where I am currently, being able to host my own fashion show is a very proud moment and an incredible feeling,” she remarked. “I’m hoping to make this an annual event, and I’m super proud of the growth of the brand.”

As N. Murray Design’s continues to push boundaries and redefine fashion norms, Ms. Murray said that its debut Fashion Show stands as a testament to its unwavering commitment to innovation, creativity, and empowerment, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the brand’s journey.
