March month end and still nine generators connected to grid
Dear Editor,
Amid continuing power outages, we heard earlier that while nine generators were installed and on the grid, the remainder were expected to be up and running by March month end.
It is March month end and we are still hearing about nine generators on the grid and the remainder having electrical problems and the works being addressed to make them ready. A new timeline of April was given to have all seventeen generators connected to the grid (KN March 28).
Is the perceived shift in urgency to get the remaining eight generators connected to the grid anything to do with the recent announcement of DR’s proposed involvement in the power company to help manage its systems in a better way, thereby providing a more reliable service (Newsroom March 26)? Just wondering!
