Dear Editor,
The Ministry of Education offers a management course administered through its agency, NCERD. The last batch of teachers completed the 2020 -2022 programme in 2023, having written the part 2 examination on 3rd March 2023.
This programme is very important for future school managers and the professional development of current managers. It had its challenges since it was done during the height of the pandemic, and access to resources was limited. Nevertheless, teachers like me completed the programme.
Editor, it is almost six months now since the last exams were written and up to date, there is no word on the final grades for the two-year period nor a date has been fixed to allow for graduation and subsequent receipt of certificates.
It is astonishing how an important programme like this is placed on the back benches. This programme is of a professional nature and must be given due attention.
Having completed the programme, it is now pertinent that teachers be issued their final grades for both parts A and B of the examination and coursework and receive their certificates.
Region 4 Teacher.
