Kaieteur News – Zenbooka, the newest restaurant, bar and café in Guyana opened its doors to the public yesterday at its 25 Saffon and Sussex Street location in Charlestown, next to Kaieteur News. The establishment offers visitors authentic international and local cuisines in an environment that exudes the tropical vibe of Guyana.
When asked by The Waterfalls magazine about the origin of the name Zenbooka, Mr. Gary Alleyne, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) explained that the name represents a combination of calm and celebration. He and his brother, Mr. Gavin Alleyne, the Managing Director (MD), took a significant risk in putting together Zenbooka Café, which they see as a trendsetter in the central part of Georgetown.
The CEO envisions Zenbooka as a brand that will occupy various parts of Guyana, not just a one-stop-shop. The establishment plans to franchise and provide quality food and service to its customers. Zenbooka Café is opened seven days a week, with the café opening from 6am to 10am and the pub from 7am to 11pm. Walk-ins are welcome, but guests are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling +592-679-7602 for the bar and +592-504-6603 for the café.
