Elderly Region Six man dies from COVID-19
Kaieteur News – A 67-year-old man from Region Six is the country’s latest victim of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. According to the Ministry of Health, the man died on Wednesday while receiving treatment at a medical facility.
The pensioner’s death takes the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,297.
Meanwhile, the ministry via its latest dashboard also reported that within the last 24 hours, 14 new COVID-19 cases have been reported bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 73,032.
The dashboard shows that two patients have been admitted to the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while four persons are in institutional isolation, and 83 are in home isolation.
To date, a total of 71,646 persons have recovered from the virus.
